Indian government was not giving access to Human Rights Organizations in the occupied valley and several countries were condemning Modi government for extreme human rights violations in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Students from Muslim-majority Kargil studying in Jammu feel that New Delhi is undermining their aspirations. People in the besieged Valley continue to observe civil disobedience to show their resistance to the August 5 illegal moves adopted by the Indian government in IOK. China issued statement and expressed its concern when India passed an act by which Laddakh became a union territory.

During lockdown of those martyred seven people were killed in fake encounters or custody, while 853 people were critically injured in the firing by troops on peaceful demonstrators. At least 11,400 Hurriyat leaders, activists, politicians, traders and civil society members continue to remain in jails or under house arrest. The troops molested and disgraced thirty nine women during the period. The Indian occupation authorities did not allow people to offer Friday prayers at historical Jamia Masjid in Srinagar since August 5.
