President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf have strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Quetta resulting in the loss of precious lives including personnel of law enforcement agencies‚ rescue volunteers and staffers of a private TV channel.
They said that such cowardly acts would not deter the government from fighting the menace of terrorism.
Ninety-two people were killed and over one hundred and twenty injured in several bomb attacks in the city yesterday.
Meanwhile‚ Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has announced a compensation of two million rupees each for the heirs of the personnel of the law enforcement agencies and one million rupees each for the civilians who were martyred in Quetta blasts.
He has also announced three day mourning in the province over the tragic incidents.
