In the opening match of ICC Twenty-20 World Cup‚ Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by 82 runs in Hambantota.Bating first Sri Lanka scored 182 for four wickets in the stiupulated overs. In reply Zimbabwe were all out for 100 runs.
The highlight of the match was the six wickets of Ajantha Mendis of Srilanka who was declared man of the match.
Two matches of Twenty20 World Cup are being played on Wednesday.
In Group-A‚ Afghanistan will play against India while in Group-B‚ Australia will take on Ireland.
