Talking to Special Assistant to Prime Minister Aslam Gill in Lahore on Wednesday‚ the President said that the PPP believes in struggle for the rights of the poor masses and deprives sections of the society.He said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto laid their lives for the rights of the masses and promotion of democracy.
Asif Ali Zardari said that Punjab including Lahore will be made a stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party.
He said PPP will win upcoming elections in Punjab and will also forum government in Punjab like other provinces.AJK President Sardar Yaqoob called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad‚ and discussed development projects underway in AJK.
Steps taken for the rehabilitation of rain affected areas in AJK were also discussed.
A delegation from tribal areas also held a meeting with President Zardari and discussed development activities and law and order situation in the areas
