President Asif Ali Zardari has strengthened democracy and democratic institutions in the country according to the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

On the eve of the 4 years completion of Asif Ali Zardari as president‚ Chief Minister GB Syed Mehdi Shah while talking to PBC Skardu said that 18th amendment‚ unanimous approval of NFC award‚ reforms in FATA and Baluchistan and other bold steps taken by Asif Ali Zardari are long-lasting and historic achievements.

The Chief Minister said that to strengthen democracy President Asif Ali Zardari delegated his powers to the parliament which is first time in our history. Syed Mehdi Shah said that to remove the sense of deprivation‚ President Asif Ali Zardari introduced self-governance order in Gilgit-Baltistan and the people of GB have been given the right to govern through their chosen representatives. As a result‚ Gilgit-Baltistan is now in national mainstream which is a big achievement. He added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are thankful to President Asif Ali Zardari for it.

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan said that with the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari the real democratic system has been established in the country. He has introduced many policies to overcome unemployment in the country and also launched several projects such as Benazir Income Support Program‚ Wasila-e-Haq and Watan Card programs. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan are also enjoying benefits of the above mentioned schemes and programs equally to the other cities of the country. He added that President Asif Ali Zardari singed fruitful agreements with China for Gilgit-Skardu Road mega project.

The Chief Minister said that certainly with the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari‚ Pakistan will progress rapidly and Insha Allah we will become a prominent nation and country in the world.
