He observed this during a high level meeting of Energy Committee in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister‚ accompanied by all the participants‚ left the meeting and paid a surprise visit‚ without protocol‚ to National Power Control Centre Islamabad‚ to ascertain exact position of power generation and its distribution.
During the visit‚ the Prime Minister directed the Management to remove the flaws in the distribution system and ensure that the people face the minimum of loadshedding as they were facing before Ramazan.
He further directed that there should no loadshedding during ‘Iftar and Sehr' times.
He directed the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources to ensure uninterrupted and sufficient supply of fuel oil and gas to the power sector.
The Finance Minister said his Ministry would continue to extend financial support to the power sector to minimize the gap between demand and supply of electricity in the country.
