Posted Date: 24th July, 2012 Last updated at 00:00 PSTMQM‚ JI leaders discuss political situation in the countryThe MQM and the Jamaat-e-Islami leaders at a meeting in Lahore have discussed the prevailing political situation in the country.An MQM delegation led by Farooq Sattar held talks with Jamat-e-Islami leadership in Lahore on Tuesday.Later addressing a joint news conference with Jamat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan‚ Farooq Sattar said there is a need to work together for democracy and holding of elections on time.
MQM leader said political parties should evolve unanimous stand on all national issues.
He said that a National Round Table Conference should be convened to discuss national issues.
Syed Munawar Hassan called for joining hands to find solution to the target killing and law and order situation in Balochistan.
He said political parties blaming each other for target killing in Karachi is regretful.
