The report says Aamir Khan's talk show has created such an outpouring of outrage that the government of the western state of Rajasthan‚ with one of the worst gender ratios‚ promised action.
Aamir Khan has tackled many horrors in India including the torture and murder of young brides for bringing insufficient dowries to their in-laws; the shunning and degradation of those at the bottom of Hinduism's caste hierarchy besides alcoholism and child sexual abuse.
He is reaching out to some estimated 400 million people in India.
