NATIONAL BROADCASTING SERVICE

ISLAMABAD

In the background of fast moving events around the world, it was felt that the audience needed to be kept informed with the latest events. For this purpose a News and Current Affairs Channel (NCAC) was launched on April 18, 2001.  It was the only channel of its kind in Asia.
News and Current Affairs Channel (NCAC) was converted into Current Affairs Channel (CAC)  and then in 28th August 2008 it is converted into National Broadcasting Service (NBS).
The
National Broadcasting Service provides its listeners seventeen hours of programmes of views on current subjects, through analysis commentaries and discussions, along with regular News Bulletins, Sports News, Business Updates and Stock Market Reports. A network of 11 stations of the PBC carries the NBS programmes.
