The US Administration has asked Pakistan to facilitate them in peace talks and use its influence to bring Taliban to the negotiation table. Taliban are very rigid in approach and it is not an easy task to convince or pressurize them to accept US terms. Pursuing peace in Afghanistan is not the sole responsibility of Pakistan; nevertheless Pakistan has always shown its sincere commitment to facilitate the Afghan peace process. The major obstacle in the success of peace process is the US suspicious and unpredictable attitude regarding future plans. A clear roadmap is imperative for the continuation and success of the peace process. Iran is an important country of the region, which can play a very important role in stabilizing Afghanistan.
