Dr. Aliya Hashmi (Economist): The Orange Line Train project will facilitate the commuters of the city in terms of saving their precious time and money. Orange Line project comprises of 26 stations and tracks spanning over 27.12 kms. As many as 250,000 persons will be able to commute daily using the Orange Line trains. The government will provide a subsidy of 5.62 billion rupees to this project. It is a good omen that the present government has not politicized this project and work on it continued despite the change of the government. The economic measures of the present government are in the right direction and the economy will strengthen through prudent economic policies.
