Dr. Masoom Yasinzai (Rector, IIUI): It is extremely unfortunate that the French President has issued anti-Islam statement and it must be strongly condemned by the world leaders as it is against the humanity as well. It is our moral responsibility that being Muslims we have to protect our religion and make it a role model for followers of other faiths. In the current political environment, anti-Muslim bigotry and Islamophobia have become pervasive features of some western countries. It is regretable that Islamophobia in the western countries is on the rise and the need of the hour is the unity of Muslim world against such conspiracies.
