Incumbent government is taking concrete measures to uplift Pakistan's economy

Mirza Ikhtiar Baig (Economist):

Pakistan is eyeing upon more access to Chinese market. Pakistan and China have agreed to China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement-II (CPFTA-II). It is appreciable that we have successfully negotiated and convinced China to give duty-free access to 313 items, which comprises of 90 percent of our export to Chinese market. Due to high tariffs, Pakistan was not able to export these items before. China has also allowed one billion dollar special procurement of grain to Pakistan. Ministry of commerce has worked very hard under the guidance of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The incumbent government is taking corrective measures to uplift the economy of the country.
