Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Shahera Shahid has expressed the resolve to ensure that Radio Pakistan continued to serve as a voice of the nation and promote image of Pakistan at international level.

She was speaking in a live programme of Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Friday (14-06-2019).

Shahera Shahid said efforts will be made to resolve all problems of the employees of PBC.

She said that Radio Pakistan remains the most effective medium.

She appreciated the performance of News and Current Affairs Channel.

The Director General also hailed the marathon transmission of NCAC on budget.

Earlier, Shahera Shahid visited various sections of Central News Organization at National Broadcasting House. 

She was accompanied by Director News and Current Affairs Abdul Hadi Mayar, Director Finance Raza Abbas Naqvi, Director Engineering Kamran Saeed and other PBC officials.

The Director General went round National News Room, Languages Units, Reporting, Monitoring, Web Desk and Current Affairs sections. The Director News briefed her on assignments of various sections and the issues being faced by the staff.

She interacted with the staff and inquired about the specifics of their working.
