Lal Chand voices concern over world’s silence on humanitarian crisis in IOK
September 27, 2019

Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights Lal Chand has said Prime Minister Imran Khan is emphatically pleading the case of oppressed Kashmir people at the world fora.

In an exclusive interview with our News and Current Affairs Channel, he said the prime minister has emerged as the real ambassador of Kashmiri people and the festering dispute today stands internationalized like never before.  This is the reason that the US President Donald Trump over the last one week or so has offered mediation on  multiple occasions.

Voicing concerns over the Indian persecution of Kashmiri people, the parliamentary secretary regretted that the world bodies including the United Nations have failed to aptly take notice of the situation. Their apathy also poses a question mark on their existence.

The Parliamentary Secretary said Pakistan has very strong bonds with Kashmir and the country will go to any extent in support of the oppressed Kashmiri people.

Responding to a question, Lal Chand said the entire Pakistani nation is united on the issue of Kashmir.  He said the minorities of the country also arranged several programs and took out rallies in support of their Kashmiri brethern. He pointed out that the biggest gathering was arranged by the Hindus in Umarkot who sent a very loud and lucid message to Modi that Kashmir will become part of Pakistan and that the minorities will stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces if  New Delhi resorted to any aggression against Pakistan.
