Parliamentary Secretary for National Health Services Dr. Nausheen Hamid says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's government is making all out efforts to provide best health facilities to the public.
In an interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, she urged people to follow standard health principles.
Talking about breast cancer, she said diagnosis of the disease can save women from fatal results.
She said President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has owned breast cancer awareness campaign.
The Parliamentary Secretary stressed the need for creating awareness about the breast cancer.
Commenting on role of lady health workers in public awareness, she said the project of LHV workers remained successful and they have a great role in women awareness in remote areas.
She said Prime Minster Imran Khan is concerned about the mother child health and stunted growth. She said child marriages are a major cause in high mortality rate of mother and child in Pakistan.
Dr Nausheen Hamid said comprehensive plans are being prepared to expand the coverage of children's vaccination.
Responding to a question on polio, she said parent's refusal is the biggest reason Pakistan could eradicate polio from its soil.
She said government is striving to curb anti-polio campaigns.
About dengue virus in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, she urged the public to take preventive measures to end dengue virus.
She said government is committed to expand Sehat Insaf Card program to all districts.
