INTERIOR MINISTRY ASKS KP GOVT TO STOP ANY UNLAWFUL MOVEMENT TOWARDS ISLAMABAD
Federal Interior Secretary has written a letter to Chief Secretary of KP government asking to prevent unlawful congregations. Federal Government has asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to take effective measures to stop any movement of organized or armed mob towards the Federal Capital. Federal Interior Secretary has written a letter to Chief Secretary of the province asking to take necessary steps to prevent unlawful congregations within the jurisdiction of the province. The letter drew attention towards various intelligence reports indicating intentions of a selected group of people to march on to Islamabad on Wednesday from KPK with a declared intention of paralyzing and holding hostage the people and government institutions in the Federal Capital.
MARYAM AURANGZEB NOMINATED AS MINISTER OF STATE FOR INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING
Maryam Aurangzeb will take oath on Tuesday. Maryam Aurangzeb has been nominated as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting. Maryam Aurangzeb said that she will take oath on Tuesday morning at a simple ceremony in Islamabad. POL PRICES TO REMAIN UNCHANGED IN NOVEMBER
Finance Minister says PM has rejected the summary of OGRA for increasing the petroleum prices. The government has decided to keep the petroleum products prices unchanged for next month. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday evening Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister has rejected the summery submitted by of OGRA for 3 to 15 percent increase in the petroleum products. Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister has directed to maintain the prices to benefit the common people of the country. He said no increase has been made in the petroleum prices since April this year.
SUICIDE ATTACK KILLS 4 IN AFGHANISTAN
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. In Afghanistan, four persons were killed and six injured in a suicide attack in Jalalabad, Nangarhar province on Monday. The incident occurred when a suicide bomber attacked a meeting of local tribal elders. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

In Iraq, government forces including elite counter terrorism forces resumed an offensive against Islamic State (IS) on the eastern front of Mosul on Monday. A military statement said troops are targeting the eastern bank of the Tigris river inching closer to the city's limits. The dawn assault saw armored vehicles, including Abrams tanks, move on the village of Bazwaya as allied artillery and air strikes hit Islamic State positions.
