India win Asian hockey championship trophy
India has won the Asian Hockey Championship Trophy in Malaysia by defeating Pakistan by 3-2 goals on Sunday. Meanwhile, Malaysia secured third position defeating Korea by 3-1.
Zimbabwe slide rapidly on third day of test match against Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka would have been pleasantly surprised with the conditions that greeted them on the third morning. After the Harare surface offered nothing to seam or spin on the first two days, it started to behave differently. Variable bounce, pace and enough lateral movement for the seamers helped Sri Lanka run through Zimbabwe's middle order to leave them placed at 174 for 6 at lunch, still 164 runs behind their first target of avoiding the follow-on.
Bangladesh win 2nd test against England by 108 runs
Bangladesh claimed ten wickets in an electric final session to secure an historic first Test victory over England and a 1-1 share of the series. That it came after England's openers had put on a century stand was the final twist in a remarkable match and only heightened the sense of their achievement. The crowning moment was delivered by the teenager Mehedi Hasan, who finished with another six-wicket haul, 12 in the match and the best figures by a Bangladeshi to spark scenes of jubilation at Mirpur.
