Situation in Kashmir is deteriorating day by day. A companion of Burhan Wani has been martyred and other protestors are being attacked by Indian forces. Pakistan is making political and diplomatic efforts for Kashmir and truly sympathizes with its people. During the meeting of national security committee, overall strategy is reviewed. All important issues are discussed in this meeting. The government in Kabul does not have a proper direction. The government and people in Afghanistan are confused. India and America are backing all negative activities in Afghanistan. Pakistan has made unprecedented sacrifices for Afghanistan. We have serious concerns about this situation. The terrorist incident in Kabul is condemnable where innocent people have died and got injured.
Lt. Gen. Retd. Naeem Khan Lodhi (Former Secretary Defence)
It is positive development that security committee meeting took place. Such meeting should frequently take place to review the situation. The internal and external security situation come under discussion in these meetings. The situation in Kashmir is also reviewed during the meeting. Pakistan should give its best possible services for Kashmiris against Indian terrorist activities. At moral level, we should bring its case to ICJ and UN forums. We should tell the world about food deficiency and lack of medication in Kashmir. We should urge the global community to send observer groups to review situation in Kashmir.

The major problem in Afghanistan is corruption in the state machinery. The elite class is capturing the power and common people do not have access to resources. It causes resentment in the people and provides recruits to militias like Taliban and ISIS. They use this sentiment against the Afghanistan state. This is Afghanistan’s internal issue and instead of blaming Pakistan they should control their own situation. The government in power in Afghanistan does not have its writ throughout the country. Afghanistan is turning out to be rent-A state and being used in the hands of India. Afghanistan should build cordial relations with its immediate neighbor, i.e., Pakistan.
