Renowned Indian journalist says India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party uses violence and  hatred against religious minorities to carry out its political agenda in India.

Siddharth Varadarajan, the founding editor of ‘The Wire’ , in his scathing article said that the only accomplishments the BJP can point to in the first year of Modi’s second term are related to its anti-Muslim mindset.

He said that criminalisation of Muslim husbands who abandon their wives without properly divorcing them, scrapping of Article 370 and the imposition of illegal communications blockade on the people of the occupied Kashmir and securing a favourable verdict from the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya issue are some of the instances of BJP's anti-Muslim agenda.
