AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has strongly condemned unprovoked firing by Indian troops at Line of Control saying that the presence of Indian Army in occupied Kashmir is more dangerous than the COVID-19 pandemic.
Expressing reaction over unprovoked Indian firing in Pando subsector of Chakothi sector and Khuiratta sector in Kotli district, in which three civilians were injured and the property damaged, Sardar Masood said India attempting to create a war-like situation in the region when the world is busy to combat COVID-19, are highly condemnable and regrettable.
The AJK President said these uncalled for restrictions and curbs may culminate in mass spread of COVID-19, which will be dangerous for all countries of the region and the whole world as well.
Meanwhile, the AJK government has constituted a high-level “Social Protection Committee” to compile the data of low income and lock-down affected poor families in the region to provide them financial assistance during the crisis period.
The committee, chaired by Senior Member Board of Revenue would also devise a strategy to financially support the daily wagers and underprivileged people in the area.
