Pakistani students invent product that can test bowling action


Students of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) created a product which can help cricketers know just how much their bowling arm flexes during delivery. The product, which is called CricFlex, consists of small motion sensors (of the sort used in phones for orienting maps) attached to a sleeve that a bowler can wear. The device sends its readings to an app, either on a mobile phone or a computer, immediately after the bowler has delivered.

NZ beat Australia despite Stoinis heroics


New Zealand scraped home in the first one-day against Australia Monday, but only after rookie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis’ fell agonizingly short of dragging his team to victory with an unbeaten 146. In just his second ODI, Stoinis took three wickets then flayed the New Zealand attack as the Australians chased a target of 287 runs at Auckland’s Eden Park.

Shabbir seals Tenpin Bowling title

Shabbir Lashkar clinched the master singles final of the 10th National Tenpin Bowling Championship played here at Leisure City bowling Club Safa Gold Mall.  In the master singles final, Shabbir won the title by scoring a massive total of 351 score with 175.5 average in two games while Ashiq Ali from KPK secured second position by scoring 341 with 170.5 average.
