A day after US President Donald Trump ordered no-visa policy for seven Muslim states, a White House official hinted that the ban could be extended to other countries, including Pakistan. In response to a question during his interview to CBS News, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said: “You can point to other countries that have similar problems like Pakistan and others – perhaps we need to take it further”. But was also quick to add that “for now, immediate steps, pulling the Band-Aid off, is to do further vetting for people traveling in and out of those countries.”

President,PM vow to continue operations against terrorism
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed important international and national issues. Both the leaders agreed to continue operations against scourge of terrorism and extremism till its total elimination from the country. They expressed satisfaction over betterment in all sectors including economy of the country. The President and Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction over the encouraging reports of international institutions over the reduction in corruption in Pakistan.

PM reviews progress on new Islamabad International Airport project
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that infrastructure projects are the backbone of a growing economy and are essential for facilitating masses. He said this while chairing a high-level meeting to review the progress of new Islamabad International Airport project and its allied infrastructure in Islamabad on Monday. Secretary Aviation Division informed that 95% work on the Airport terminal building has been completed and all civil works would be completed by March 2017. Chairman NHA updated that the New Airport is being provided main road access from both Motorways M-1 & M-2 and also from main GT Road. He said the airport will also have access from Islamabad Metro that Prime Minister will inaugurate on 14th August, 2017 along with New Islamabad International Airport.
Pakistan committed to strengthen SAARC for regional cooperation: Sartaj
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to regional cooperation under the umbrella of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) for acceleration of economic and commercial growth. He was talking to a delegation of SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its President Suraj Vaidya in Islamabad on Monday. The Adviser recognized the efforts of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry in promoting economic, trade and investment linkages across the region. He underscored Pakistan's support for enhancement of trade and business amongst the countries of the regional organization.
