Analysts discuss the achievements of the democratic Government in the outgoing year.
Speaking in Nuqta-e-Nazar program of NCAC of Radio Pakistan‚ former ambassador Ayaz Wazir has said the present government took commendable steps as compare to previous government for raising the drone issue at different international forums including United Nations General Assembly.
Taking part in the programme‚ senior analyst Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akhtar said 2013 was a challenging year for Pakistan and the year 2014 is very important for the region as US-led NATO troops will withdraw from Afghanistan while Pakistan plays key role in maintenance of peace in the region.
Speaking in the program‚ former Secretary General Foreign Affairs Akram Zaki said the cordial deliberations of present government with neighboring countries were a good omen but the poor response by neighbors is worrisome.
Participating in the program‚ Economist Dr. Abid Qayyum Sulehri said short‚ mid and long terms measures will have to be taken in order to overcome financial crises.
