US President Donald Trump has said a long term planning of five to ten years will be needed to cover the deadly devastations by hurricane Harvey in Texas.

While expressing the grief during his visit to the storm-ravaged Texas city, he said we want to do it better than ever before.

Early estimates place Harvey’s losses at up to one hundred billion dollars. Fifteen people have died so far and tens of thousands of people in Texas have been displaced due to deadly floods and torrential rains.

President Trump has now declared a state of emergency in Louisiana, as tropical storm Harvey moves east from Texas.
