Participants laud Pakistan Armyâ€™s sacrifices for the defence of the country.
Pakistan Army observed Youm-e-Shuhada on Wednesday to pay homage to its martyrs for their supreme sacrifices.
Speaking in ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’ programme of News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said: “Entire nation is supporting armed forces in war against terrorism. Our armed forces and people have rendered matchless sacrifices for the defence of Pakistan”.
Taking part in the programme, Hassan Abbas, brother of Havaldar Muhammad Ishaq Shaheed said: “Our family is proud of martyrdom offered by my brother at Giayri sector.”
In his comments, Defence analyst Brigadier (R) Dr. Muhammad Khan said: “The observance of Youm-e-Shuhada clearly reflects that the nation and Pakistan army have not forgotten the sacrifices of our martyrs. We are really proud of these sacrifices”.
Brig (R) Abdul Rehman Bilal, Veteran of Siachin sector said: “Defending the borders of Pakistan at Siachin sector was one of the most challenging experiences of my life”.
Journalist Athar Hussain said: “Entire nation is behind our armed forces. Pakistani media supported the armed forces when a particular group started propaganda against our armed forces”.
Air Marshal (R) Shahid Latif, War Veteran said: “Our armed forces are fully prepared to fight internal and external aggression. Induction of five F-16 fighter in the Pakistan Air Force has strengthened our force. Joining armed forces is a great honour for the youth of Pakistan”.
Concluding the debate, defence analyst Brig. (R) Tugral Yameen said: “Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable to protect the frontiers of the country. The morale of our armed forces is very high. Our armed forces are highly disciplined and professional”.
