China implementing various power projects in Pakistan: Ambassador
Sun Weidong says Karakorum Highway to be upgraded to further enhance trade between the two neighbors.
China says it is implementing a number of projects to overcome electricity shortage in Pakistan.
In an interview with the News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Sun Weidong said these projects include Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Plant, Nandipur Power Project, Gomal Zam, Khan Khawar, Dubair Khawar, Thar Coal Power Project and renewable energy.
The Ambassador said bilateral trade jumped up to fourteen point two billion dollars last year.
He said Karakorum Highway will also be upgraded to further enhance trade between the two neighbors.
The Chinese Ambassador said his country fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan. He said the two countries have similar view on regional and international issues.
