Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid says that the government has evolved comprehensive policies and plans to overcome adverse impact of climate change.

Addressing a signing ceremony of Mountain Protected Areas project in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the government will fully support such projects.

The Minister said that under Vision 2025, a roadmap to reduce national disaster risk and to bring biological diversity has been prepared and all the provinces too have evolved their own frameworks to implement the policy in an effective way.

He called for resolving the issues pertaining to melting of glaciers, pollution, conservation of wild life, and protecting the depleting species of snow leopard.

He said Green Pakistan program is being implemented across Pakistan and 195 million rupees have been allocated for the renewal of wild life resources.
