PCB imposes one year ban on fast bowler Muhammad Irfan
He admitted his mistake and apologized on hurting nation's sentiments.
Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a one year ban on fast bowler Muhammad Irfan for not informing the Anti Corruption Unit regarding his contacts with bookies' during the PSL tournament.
He was also fined for ten lakh rupees for his contacts.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, PCB officials said that out of one year, six months of ban may be suspended if the fast bowler pays the imposed fine and fully cooperates with the Board under the Code.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Irfan admitted his mistake and apologized on hurting nation's sentiments.
He said that he was contacted by bookies twice but he failed to inform the Anti Corruption Unit of PCB in this regard.
