Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has approved Annual Development Programme (ADP) of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) for fiscal year 2016-17.

The total outlay of the FATA ADP is eighteen point two (18.2) billion rupees.

The approval was given in a high level meeting held in Peshawar today with Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra in the chair.

The meeting discussed in details the ongoing and new development programmes for FATA and expressed satisfaction over pace of work on these projects.

It was informed that fourteen point nine (14.9) billion rupees have been allocated for seven hundred seventy-three ongoing development projects whereas three point two billion (3.2) rupees have been set-aside for two hundred twenty-nine new projects in the next fiscal year.

Speaking on this occasion, the Governor directed the authorities concerned to further accelerate pace of work on these projects to ensure their timely completion.

He warned that any corruption, delay or use of sub-standard material in the development projects would not be tolerated at all.

The Governor also directed to speed up work for restoration of hospitals, health centers, educational institutions and other government installations on priority basis.
