Hurriyat leadership condemns draconian Public Safety Act on political activists in occupied Kashmir
In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has denounced puppet authorities for imposing curfew in Srinagar.
The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned barring prayers in Jamia Masjid for the sixth consecutive Friday and keeping the Mirwaiz under house detention for the past more than one and a half month.
It said that ongoing freedom movement in Kashmir is people’s political struggle based on priceless sacrifices offered by them over the past several decades.
Meanwhile, people observed complete shutdown in Bhadarwah town of Doda district in Jammu region against the ruthless beating of a local Muslim youth by Indian police.
Earlier, hundreds of people took part in a peaceful rally in Beerwah town of Badgam district to protest against the recent killing of a youth by Indian Army.
