Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has directed to expedite the sale process for Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS) and stressed to provide a level playing field to all operators in this regard.

Chairing meeting of the Advisory Committee for the release of Next Generation Mobile Services Spectrum in Islamabad today (Thursday), he urged all stakeholders to ensure maximum participation for successful completion of the sale transaction.

The Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority briefed the committee about the arrangements underway for the sale of available Spectrum of Next Generation Mobile Services in the country.  

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz said international benchmarks must be followed to ensure whole process of sale competitive and transparent.

After due deliberations, the Advisory Committee approved the recommendations for the sale of NGMS during the meeting.
