Najm us Saqib (Former Ambassador):  Bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Germany in the field of security is very beneficial for regional prosperity. The withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan will raise new issues in the region. Pakistan needs to get ready for post withdrawal situation. Pakistan has emphasized on the responsible withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan to avoid any unwanted situation. India is playing a role of peace spoiler in Afghanistan for its strategic interests. There must be some future course of action following complete withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. The Afghan government is not capable enough to control country's internal situation. The US must ensure that there is no civil war and political instability after withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. Islamabad is consistently making efforts to sustain durable peace in Afghanistan. Peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan in particular and the region in general. Islamabad's peace efforts have been acknowledged by the global powers. The United States needs Pakistan's support for a political solution of Afghan dispute.

Germany is an important European country. It is a diplomatic victory for Pakistan that the world powers have endorsed Pakistan's stance for Afghan peace process. Islamabad always endorses all initiatives for promoting peace in Afghanistan. Pakistan is effectively exposing the negative role of peace spoilers in Afghanistan.

Pakistan and Germany believe in the political solution of Afghan dispute. Pakistan has always offered its sincere cooperation for Afghan peace. Islamabad believes that peace in Pakistan is linked with peace in Afghanistan.
