Pakistan has won a seat in Administrative Council of the International Telecommunication Union in South Korea.

Pakistan got 101 votes out of a total of 168 in the plenipotentiary conference held in the city of Busan.

The election victory has secured Pakistan a position in the administrative, management and policy making body of the telecommunication agency.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the Ministry of Information Technology on winning the seat.
