Khurshid Shah seeks three monthsâ€™ time to appoint CEC
Opposition Leader says he wants to consult all political parties before finalising the name of the CEC.
The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has sought three months' time to complete the process of appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner.
This he said in reply to the Supreme Court in a case regarding appointment of the CEC.
He said that CEC is appointed after consultation between leader of the House and Opposition in the National Assembly.
The opposition leader said we want to consult all political parties before finalising the name of the CEC so that no one has any reservation on the new Chief Election Commissioner.
