Pakistan became seventh nuclear world power with demonstration of nuclear capabilities and the first in the Muslim world. The nuclear tests made Pakistan's defense invincible. Special prayers have been offered for the progress and prosperity of the country, supremacy of the constitution, prosperity of the nation and eradication of terrorism.

In his message on Yaum-e-Takbeer, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said the nation is showing unity to make Pakistan Asian Tiger in economic terms as it had shown unity in 1998. He said Pakistan’s nuclear programme created balance of power in South Asia.

Meeting of the Joint Investigation Team on Panama Papers was held in Islamabad today. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says PML-N holds constitutional institutions of the country in high esteem. Talking to a news channel on Sunday, she said that the appearance of the son of an elected Prime Minister before the Joint Investigation Team has substantiated PML-N stance in this regard.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the people and the Government of Pakistan extend their deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of the injured. Pakistani nation stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Egypt in their struggle against the scourge of terrorism.

Pakistan calls for firm measures to protect civilians in conflict zones

Pakistan has called for firm measures to end attacks on medical facilities and staff engaged in saving lives in conflict zones around the world. This was stated by Pakistan's Ambassador to UN Maleeha Lodhi during debate at Security Council in New York. She said any attack on medical facilities and staff, jeopardizes life and exacerbates suffering.  

China extremely dissatisfied with G7 statement on South China Sea 

China has expressed dissatisfaction over G7 countries statement regarding the East and South China Sea issues. In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesman Lu Kang, said China is committed to properly resolving disputes with all nations involved through negotiations while maintaining peace and stability in the East China Sea and South China Sea.

North Korea tested new-type of anti-aircraft guided weapon system

North Korea has tested a new-type of anti-aircraft guided weapon system which aimed at detecting and striking different targets flying from any direction. The state media reported today that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who supervised the test, has ordered its mass production and deployment throughout the country. The news agency did not report the exact nature of the weapon or the time of the test.

Turkish military says kills 13 Kurdish militants in northern Iraq

Turkey's military killed 13 members of the militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in air strikes in northern Iraq on Sunday, the military said in a statement. The warplanes struck seven PKK targets in the Avasin-Basyan region of northern Iraq, and killed militants believed to be preparing for an attack In a separate air strike in Turkey's southeastern province of Van late on Saturday, the military said warplanes had killed another 10 PKK militants.
