India's objections to CPEC are fake, disingenuous: Masood
AJK President says Belt, Road Initiative is unprecedented undertaking
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said India's objections to China Pakistna Economic Corridor were fake and disingenuous.
He said under what law India claims sovereignty over Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir while it has occupied illegally some parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The AJK president was addressing a one day international seminar on 'Belt and Road Initiative: CPEC and regional integration ' organized by The Institute of International and Cultural Affairs.
He said the territory did not belong to India because it has moved its 700,000 troops to the Occupied Kashmir to maintain its illegal occupation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The President said that the Belt and Road Initiative is an undertaking with no precedent.
The AJK president said the 'Belt' comprised a series of land corridors linking China with Europe through Central Asia and the Middle East, while the 'Road' was a maritime route linking China's ports to Africa, and through the Mediterranean to Europe.
