Political parties assure full support for CPEC
The Parliamentary leaders of all political parties have extended complete support and practical cooperation to the government for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan’s Nuqta-e-Nazar program, PML-N leader Maiza Hameed said: “Prime Minister had called an APC earlier to take all political parties on board regarding the routes of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. But, due to Karachi incident the meeting was postponed. Today, Prime Minister invited all political parties once again and briefed them about the routes of CPEC project. It is because of the efforts of PM that all parties have extended complete support to the government for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Some elements have been trying continuously to create hurdles in this project but with the help of Allah Almighty, the project will be completed within specified time.”
Senator Afrasyab Khan Khattak said: “It is a historic day for Pakistan. All political parties have extended complete support and practical cooperation to the government for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Certain economic zones will be established in the project to spur economic growth and business opportunities. All four provinces will be beneficiary of this mega project. China Pakistan Economic Corridor is win-win situation for all the parties and Pakistan. The government has given a detailed briefing on the routes of this project to all political parties. A parliamentary committee consisting of representation from all the political parties has been constituted for the oversight of the project, so that no one can point fingers on government. All political parties have expressed confidence on routes of CPEC which is the success and beauty of the democratic system.”
Senior analyst Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi said: “Whole country will be benefitted with China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project. A wave of development and progress will be observed in the country because of CPEC project. Pakistan has been facing a big challenge of power shortage. There are many projects in CPEC that will support the government to overcome this challenge. Besides, railway reforms and other projects are also included in it. Pakistan will have an easy access to international markets because of this project.”
