Policies of oppression will not deter resolve of Hurriyet: Mirwaiz
In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that incidents of civilian killings in the territory are unacceptable.
Addressing a daylong session of delegates in Srinagar he said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement about engaging Pakistan and Kashmiri people in a dialogue process has proved hollow.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the fact remains that the Prime Minister Modi has failed on all fronts especially on his commitment to engaging Pakistan and Kashmiri people in a dialogue process.
The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference said the Modi-led BJP government in India has adopted a military approach on Kashmir.
He maintained that such military approaches have failed in muzzling the genuine struggles across the globe.
Mir Waiz said policies of oppression and suppression are not going to deter the resolve of Hurriyet in seeking honorable solution to the Kashmir issue.
He said due to the intransigent attitude of Dehli, the situation in the South Asian region is becoming tense.
He warned keeping Kashmir issue lingering will turn out to be a volcano in the region.
