293 members of banned groups arrested in Sindh
Home Secretary Mukhtar Soomro says the provincial government has so far received 462,310 weapons license verification applications
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has presided over a provincial cabinet meeting at Karachi.
Home Secretary Mukhtar Soomro while giving briefing said the provincial government has so far received 462,310 license verification applications, of them 56,891 licenses have been verified.
He said the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh have arrested 293 suspected members of banned organisations in 457 operations and recovered 350 weapons and 15092 ammunition.
Addressing the meeting the chief minister ordered the cancellation of 595,146 arms licenses, as the licensees failed to verify their licenses from relevant offices.
