Puppet authorities impose curfew, other restrictions in Srinagar
In Occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities imposed curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar and other areas on Friday to prevent people from holding anti-India demonstrations.
Call for the demonstrations was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to protest against the suspension of life sentences of five Indian army personnel involved in Machhil fake encounter by a military court and persecution of pro-freedom leadership.
Meanwhile, puppet authorities disallowed congregational Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar on Friday for the sixth consecutive week.
All gates of Jamia Masjid were locked by the Indian forces while all roads leading to the historic mosque were blocked with concertina wires.
