Moon sighted, Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated on Tuesday
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announces sighting of the Shawaal moon at its meeting in Karachi.
The Shawaal Moon has been sighted and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (Tuesday)
It was announced by Chairman of Central Reut-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman at a meeting of the Committee in Karachi .
Eid congregations will be held at open places‚ mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities of the country.
The Ulema in their sermons will highlight the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.
As Eid is being celebrated in the backdrop of operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan and Israeli aggression in Gaza, special prayers would be offered for well-being of the IDPs and security of Palestinian people.
Prayers would also be offered for security, progress and prosperity of the country.
In the Federal Capital, the main Eid congregation would be held at the Faisal Mosque where parliamentarians‚ envoys of Muslim countries and top government officials would offer Eid prayers along with thousands of people.
Meanwhile‚ security has been beefed up in different parts of the country including the federal capital to avoid any untoward incident on the auspicious occasion.
