Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday predicted widespread rains in eastern parts of the country during the Eid days. 

A spokesman of PMD informed that a low pressure has developed over North West Bay of Bengal and likely to move northwest wards during next couple of days. 

Under the influence of this weather system, strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in Punjab and Kashmir during the next 24 hours and in Sindh during next 48 hours. 

Monsoon currents will produce widespread rains thundershowers in Kashmir, Islamabad, North eastern parts of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha Bahawalpur and Sahiwal divisions during the period. 

Rain-Thundershowers is also expected at scattered places in Sindh and eastern parts of Baluchistan from Wednesday to Friday. Heavy falls is also expected at isolated places in Mirpur Khas and Hyderabad divisions during the period. 

Meanwhile, scattered rain-thundershower is expected in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Hazara divisions, at isolated places in Malakand, Kohat, Peshawar, Bannu and D.I. Khan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Kalat divisions during next 24 hours.
