In rain and storm hit areas of Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera relief activities are in full swing.

Sources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent that the PDMA distributed 900 tents, 100 blankets and 250 food packages among the rain and storm affected people in Peshawar.

The Director General PDMA along with relief teams also visited torrential rain affected areas of Charsadda and Nowshera today to supervise relief activities.

The PDMA has dispatched two teams each to Charsadda and Nowshera for assessment of houses damaged by the storm and rain.

Meanwhile, the PPP leaders and former Prime Ministers Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf visited Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar on Tuesday and inquired about the health of injured of rain-storm.

On behalf of PPP co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari they expressed solidarity with the rain-storm affectees and prayed for their early recovery.

Later, talking to newsmen they said the entire nation is with the affectees at this critical time.
