Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Shah has said that PPP government has always taken special initiatives to protect the rights of farms and labourers.

He was addressing the House during the session of Sindh Assembly in Karachi on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister said that we doubled the procurement price of wheat in the province to facilitate the farmers.

He said the step was taken to provide incentive to the farmers to cultivate more wheat.

He said it was because of this incentive within two years we were able to export 2 lac tons of wheat.

The Chief Minister said the government is also facilitating sugarcane farmers.

Paying tribute to Surgeon Dr. Adeeb Rizvi for his services to humanity, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Sindh government will provide fund for the liver transplant centre that is being established in Sukkur.
