Peace inevitable for economic prosperity: Zubair

Sindh Governor Mohammed Zubair has said that peace is inevitable for economic prosperity and the government is taking appropriate measures for the boost in economic activities in the country after restoration of peace and overcoming the energy shortage. 

This he said while talking to the delegation of Standing Committee of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry that called on him at the Governor house in Karachi on Thursday.

The Governor said that direct business system has gained a lot of importance around the world and there's a lot of potential for it in Pakistan also. He said the government will provide all possible facilities for the direct business activities.

The Governor said we need to promote direct business in Sindh especially Karachi as it is the economic hub of the country and has huge potential for the system. He said that direct supply to consumers facilitates the people in much better way.

The Governor said that start of direct business in province will also provide employment to a large number of people and would also gain foreign exchange.

Mohammad Zubair said that our highly educated, experienced and low-cost workforce makes the province ideal for any business activity and the industrialists and investors should benefit from this.

The Chairman of standing committee on FPCCI informed the Governor on this occasion that the direct business system started in Pakistan in 2015 and there is a need to give it a status of a formal industry.

He said that China, India and Malaysia have a firm base for this kind of business as they are being supported by their governments.

The Governor asked the delegation to devise proper suggestions for direct business so that concerned Ministry could be consulted in this regard.
