Japan lauds Pakistan's efforts for Polio eradication
Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan assured continued support to Pakistan in its pursuit to rid country of the menace of polio.
Japan has appreciated efforts of Pakistan in eradication of Polio from the country.
Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai during a visit of Rotary-Shifa Community Health Centre in Islamabad on Tuesday also assured continued support to the government in its pursuit to rid the country of the menace of polio.
He said Japan remains fully committed to supporting the government toward a world free of polio.
Pakistan has made steady and systematic progress over the last year towards the interruption of poliovirus transmission.
Japan is one of the leading donors and has supported the Polio Eradication Initiative in Pakistan continuously since 1996.
