Armed Forces ready to protect, defend country: Defence Minister
Khawaja Asif says our armed forces rendered huge sacrifices in war on terror.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says Pakistan Armed Forces are ready to protect and defend the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
In an interview, he said our armed forces have rendered supreme sacrifices in the war against terrorism and are also capable to face any threat from India.
The minister said the armed forces recently conducted a war exercise to prepare themselves to counter any untoward situation.
He said if India tries to do any misadventure, it would have to face dire consequences. He said whole nation from Karachi to Gilgit is united to face any aggression.
To a question, Defence Minister said Uri attack was staged by India itself to divert attention from Indian atrocities and barbarism against the innocent Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir.
Replying to another question, he said PTI’s Raiwind march is not in the national interest as the country is facing threats from India.
To another query, he said Altaf Hussain has some connections with India as during his visit to India during the Musharraf regime he had showed his allegiance to India.
