Chief of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali has regretted that those speaking about new Pakistan have callously ignored the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Addressing a Grand Jirga in Peshawar on Monday, he said the tribal people are undergoing difficulties for the cause of peace in Pakistan and they should be given their rights.

The ANP chief said the IDPs should be allowed to return to areas, which have been cleared of militants.
