Pakistan has been forcefully raising the issue of gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir at all international forums, including the United Nations, the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other international organizations. He said Pakistan has drawn attention of the UN Security Council members as well international human rights organizations to the Indian forces' atrocities against the Kashmiris wherein over sixty people have been martyred.

Pakistan has underscored the need for enhanced parliamentary level exchanges amongst the Asian countries to resolve all the issues facing the people of the continent. The Chairman Senate said that the fast changing regional and global scenario requires more cooperation in trade, economy and other fields to pave the way for regional integration. He said that the Asian countries are facing common challenges and joint efforts are required to overcome them.

Muslim women beaten over rumors of carrying beef in India

Two Muslim women have been beaten up at a railway station in central India on suspicion of carrying beef, an offence in many parts of the Hindu-majority country.  The meat the women were carrying has since turned out to be buffalo, but police in Madhya Pradesh state said they were attacked on yesterday at a busy station, apparently after a group of vigilantes raised suspicions. Video footage broadcast on local television channels showed a group of women slapping, kicking and punching the two as a large crowd gathered.
